Po Po was a sweet woman who was very kind to me whenever I was able to come by and say hello.  I give my condolences to the Dang's, Lu's, Lin's, Tran's, Liang's, Huynh's, Wong's, and whoever else that'll miss the kindness she gave—not just to her family, but everyone around her. She lived with a big, big heart; she will be missed dearly, and remembered fondly.

Saturday was always when we go to Popo’s and our big family gets together.

As I entered through the back door and up the stairs, the first one I’d always want to greet was Popo. I loved how put together she was; even in her PJs, her hair was nicely curled and all her nails were perfectly done. 
She’d love to tell me how she was keeping her skin nice or how she was getting her 10k+ steps in with her whacky, bike-pedal machine. 

It was always a joy seeing our big family playing mahjong in the living room, trading stories around the halls, or cooking something big in the kitchen. Despite all the loud chit-chat and noise that echoed around the house, she always looked so comfortable in her seat and happy with it all. 

Popo had such a strong influence on me. She felt that we should always treat ourselves well and that time with family is precious.

Popo, Saturdays without you will not be the same. I’ll miss you.

Dear my beloved Boston Mom,

You are the sweetest person I have ever met in my life. The first time we met in 2016, you not only welcome me but also referred to my as one of your child. The love that you gave me in such a short amount of time we met, showed what a loving and kind person you are. I just regret not coming back to see you sooner before you have to leave us. You will also be my Boston mom and will always be in my heart forever. Love you always and forever miss you.

You are the kindest, most loving, and compassionate person I have ever known. I feel truly fortunate to be a part of your family. I will miss playing Mahjong with you, listening to your wonderful family stories, and all the trips we took together. You always enjoyed coming to New Hampshire, staying with us, and exploring the beautiful places here. My family and I will always cherish the time we spent with you. We will miss you dearly.

To our beloved PoPo,

Living across the country was never easy to visit PoPo. The only way to have a conversation with PoPo was over the phone. I will always cherish the 2-3 minute phone calls with PoPo even if it came with an interruption of a quick Majong game. 

Flying across the country once a year to be with PoPo always came with a great surprise. We would hide the fact that we were going in a plane to go see her. When we would show up to PoPo’s house it would be an eventful day filled with smiles! Her face would light up with joy seeing the whole family there. 

She was one of the wisest and sweetest person. I will never forget how her infamous pan fried rice cakes taste. Every year, she would cook this for the family and it would be the tastiest breakfast you would have for the week. 

We all miss you PoPo💖💖! Sad to see you go but glad you are no longer in a painful state. Fly high and travel the places you have always wanted to see with Gong Gong and Aunt Lillian! Love you PoPo!

MaMa, I will miss your smile and laughter as I walk around the house, making weird faces or poses at you. I will miss watching you as you wiggle your toes in your sleep. Most of all, I will miss coming home to you.

Words can't describe how much we appreciate all that you've done for us. You have raised a big, tightknit, happy family. We miss you. We will always love you <3.

I have had the best memories at your house with you. From watching you cook in the kitchen, to you listening to your Chinese radio while I try to distract you. Thank you for being there for me and everyone all these years. We will miss you dearly. Please say hi to Gongong and YeeMa for us 💞

I am fortunate to have met and spent time getting to know Popo over the last 8 years. Having not had much time with both my grandmothers, I sort of adopted her as my own. She was an absolute sweetheart, and I will miss her. On behalf of the Cerci family, I extend our condolences.

Our beautiful grandma, we will miss your bright smile and warm soul. I'll miss all the stories you'd tell us. The recipes you've taught me will forever be a fond memory of you each time I cook it. I'm sad to let you go but I know you'll be look down and smiling at us with grandpa and mom. I love you forever and always.

PoPo, We all miss you so much already. You will forever be the foundation of our family, the matriarch and guiding voice. Thank you so much for all you have done, raising countless children and grandchildren alike.  We will cherish our memories with you and hold you near in our hearts forever. I'm comforted to know you are with GongGong and YeeMa, watching over us from a better place. Love you always.

Some of the last words you said to me were, “Ba Ngoai biet con thuong Ba Ngoai.” I will remember that forever. I will always cherish the memories of Tyler and I bringing food over to eat with you & hearing all the stories you told us while we were playing with your cane and walker. I remember you laughing at us, and saying that I am always “nhong nheo.” I miss and love you forever, Ba Ngoai. You will be in our hearts forever and always.

Our beautiful Po Po - we miss you so much but know you are in a better place and reunited with Gong Gong. You have poured out so much love to our family and everyone around you near and far. We will always remember you as our smiley, cheerful, and wise Po Po. Thank you for loving us. We love you ❤️

To our grandma, we miss you so much. Saturday gatherings, home cooked meals, holiday celebrations, and random lunch outings. These are the memories that we cherish and will stay with us for our entire lives. The love and compassion you gave us will be passed on to future generations. You will forever be in our hearts.

To our loving grandma up above: We miss you and thank you for being a big part of our lives.  Our family is so close because of you, the matriarch of the family who brought everyone together every week.
