Mary E. (Maloney) Deware of Quincy, formerly of Hingham. Passed away surrounded by her family on May 2, 2014, at the age of 92. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Donald M. Deware. Loving mother of Capt. Jacklyn Deware Webb U.S.Navy (Ret.) and her husband Capt. Paul C. Gallagher U.S. Navy (Ret.) of Sunny Isles, FL. and D. Scott Deware of Easton, formerly of Hingham and Quincy and his late wife Melanie Deware. Devoted grandmother of Chandler Webb of Brighton, Lily, Bethany, and Eden Deware of Easton. Sister of Geraldine Christie of Maine. Sister in law of Lois Deware of Wollaston. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand and great grandnieces and nephews.
Mrs. Deware was a Past Matron of the Olive Branch #1 Order of Eastern Star, Lancaster, N.H., Past Grand Officer of the Grand Chapter O.E.S. N.H., Past Mother Advisor of the I.O.R.G. in N.H., a member of the former Wollaston Chapter #156 O.E.S., a member of the Braintree Chapter #167, O.E.S., the Rebeccas, the Daughters of the Nile, Advisory Board for the Wollaston Assembly #10 I.O.R.G., Executive Board of the Navy League of Broward County, FL, Wollaston Council #456 UCT, The former Bethany White Shrine, the Furnace Brook Golf Club, Quincy, the former Wollaston Neighborhood Club Quincy, St. Chrysostom's Episcopal Church, Quincy, Former longtime member of the South Shore Country Club Hingham and St. John’s Episcopal Church Hingham.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 5th in St. Chrysostom's Episcopal Church, 1 Linden St. Quincy at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held at church prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree.
