Toshi, who was lovingly called “Honey Bunny” by her husband Yook Yee Fong (Herby) loved to be called “Mom and Momsie” by her kids and Nana and Grandma by her grandkids, departed her loving family on June 9, 2022.
Toshi was born in Nagoya, Japan on December 2, 1930 to Hude and Goro Tokuda.
Toshi was mother to Terence Fong, Timothy A. Fong, Valerie A. Cummins and Katherine Benson. She raised her children with love and devotion in multiple Air Force Bases across the country with her husband, Yook Yee Fong.
As a beautician, Toshi was known for her gift of making people feel beautiful because of the way she did their hair and for her ability to make people smile and laugh.
Some of the things she loved to do included shopping, sewing, knitting, crocheting and drawing. She was most proud of raising her 4 children who all had successful careers and families.
She is survived by her Husband Yook Yee Fong (Herby)Msgt USAF, Ret children and spouses, Terence Fong LTC, USA Ret and Pamela Fong, Timothy A. Fong.COL, USA Ret and Chong Suk Fong, Valerie A. Cummins and James Cummins, Katherine Benson and Donald E. Benson, her grandchildren, Lani M. Fong, Jonathan T. Fong Maj, USAF and Leslie C. Fong, Timothy A. Fong, Jr and Haley K. Fong, Daniel A. Fong CPT USA, Ryan M. Benson and Tiffany P. Benson, Heather N. Benson and Kenneth K. Spach, Alec G. Manaia and Maley F. Paradela and her great grandchildren, Avery C. Fong, Parker E. Fong, Ethan J. Fong, Frances I. Manaia, Brynlee P. Benson, Josephine E. Fong, Carter M. Benson and Gabriel W. Fong.
She is also Survived by Several Nieces and Nephews and families
Services will be held at Deware Funeral Home in Quincy on June 15, 2022 at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on the tribute memorial page on the Alzheimer’s Association website in Linda Toshiko Fong’s name.
