After leaving Georgia, Virginia headed to New York City to join her sister Betty who lived in Corona 9ueens. Soon after, she would have her son William, her pride and joy. Virginia would spend endless hours in the kitchen with her sister and son laughing cooking and enjoying each others company.
During her time in New York City, Virginia would join the financial team at Bank of New York where she would spend over 30 years making life long friends. When she retired, she would help take care of her grandchild Janae.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Eugene and Louise, her brothers Ralph, Albert, and Andrew Lowe, her sisters Martha Grier, Mary Lowe, and Betty Jean Wimberly, nephew Andre (Bernard) Wimberly, Anthony Wimberly and niece Phyllis Jean.
Virginia is survived by her son William aka Pumkin (Renee) her grandchildren Achante and Janae, her brother Linton of GA and James(Smitty) of California, nephews and nieces, Andrew, Labarine (Sharon), Sharmaine, Gregory, and Mark, grand/ great nieces and nephews, a host of relatives and friends.
