Linda A. Ward was born on December 6, 1942 in Queens, New York to Charles Wollny and Gertrude McCann. Linda was the 4th of their five children. She grew up in St. Albans, Queens on 201st Street until after her mother’s death in 1957 when they moved to the house on Epsom Course in Holliswood, Queens.
She met and married John Ward in 1970 and they were blessed with one daughter, Jennifer in 1971.
Her happiest days were when she was able to spend time with Jennifer and Jennifer’s two children Jason and Jennarose.
Linda worked as the Bookkeeper at Our Lady of Lourdes Church for more than 20 years and she retired in 2020 during the pandemic. She was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes choir for more than 25 years.
In the past several years she was diagnosed with various heart ailments but she persevered and had several surgeries in an attempt to correct this.
She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents and her siblings. She leaves behind her daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Pete, grandchildren Jason and Jennarose. She was loved by her many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral mass for Linda will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 92-96 220th St, Queens Village, New York 11428.
