Junior, as he was known to us was born in Bayamon Puerto Rico on November 15, 1964. The only son of Johnny and Gloria Torres. He moved with his parents and sister to Astoria, New York where he attended elementary school. Years later he moved to Queens Village, New York where he attended High School.
He worked for Ideal Plumbing on Steinway St in Astoria, where he lived right next store. He began as a curious 9-year-old boy, he was eager to learn exactly how everything operated. The owners adored junior and took him under their wing. It wasn’t long before Junior was taking coffee orders and making deliveries for the supply store. He stayed with them until age 16 years old. He learned a skillset that fostered a wonderful career of working in a field that he loved. He began working for the NYC Board of Education as a custodial Fireman Engineer for over 17 years. He continued to be employed until his health dictated otherwise.
He is survived by his devoted wife Roseanne Torres, his adoring sons Brandon and Jason, his loving father Juan Torres and sister Carmen Gonzalez, his twin nephew’s Johnnie and Robert and niece Cristal. He is predeceased by Mother Gloria E. Torres passed away on May 12, 2021.
