John ‘Jack’ Goldstein, 85, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his home in Atlanta, Georgia where he was cared for lovingly by his family Eric and Fabiola Goldstein and his grandchildren Jared, Erica and Jessica. Jack is also survived by his sons, John and Daniel, and by his daughter Jasmin; and his other grandchildren, Jocie, Grace, Serenity and Justin. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Delsy in 2000.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 22nd at Incarnation RC Church, 89-43 Francis Lewis Blvd, Queens Village, NY 11427. The burial will follow at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 209 Truman Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10703.
Jack was born September 6, 1936 in Yonkers, New York to Boris and Margaret Goldstein nee Burnett. Jack graduated from Charles E. Gorton High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts from Iona University and completed a Masters in Social Work from Fordham University School of Social Service. At Fordham, he met his future wife Delsy Ruiz Santana of Santurce, Puerto Rico. They married in 1965. Together they shared a love of faith, service to others and family.
A longtime resident of Queens Village, New York, Jack was employed as a clinical social worker and worked tirelessly on behalf of those in need. After retiring and befitting his own heritage, he dedicated himself to the Catholic Jewish Relations Council of Northeast Queens and its mission of facilitating interfaith understanding through shared experience and education. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
