Jean-Claude Boursiquot Sr. was born in La Vallee de Jacmel, Haiti on March 23, 1943. He is the first of 4 children of Saint-Fort and Francoise Boursiquot. He completed his primary education at the catholic school of Leonce Meggie and then went on to Port-au-Prince, the capital, to continue his studies.
In search of a better life, he ventured to the United States at the age of 27. Subsequently he was married and from this union his only child Jean-Claude Boursiquot Jr. was born. After working in the garment district for a few years, he obtained his certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked for many years at Harlem Hospital until his retirement in 2009. Jean-Claude was a devoted catholic and has traveled to many countries including Israel and Italy where he visited the Vatican to strengthen his faith. For many years he was a proud member of the Sacred Heart Creole Choir which was one of his favorite devotional activities within the church. He was a man of great faith and character and always put God first. Jean-Claude loved his family and was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He is survived by son Jean-Claude Jr, daughter-in-law Camille, grand-children Genevieve and Mireille, his siblings Magda, Joe and Jean-Robert as well as countless nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was loved and will always be missed and remembered.
