Dear Padrino,

I thought of you all day today. Time flies and I still can't believe it has already been one year. I miss you dearly. 😔 I remember the cookouts during the summer time. Eating corn off the grill. You taking me into the pool to swim.  I still have every Hess truck you help me collect during Christmas time. I hope you know you are missed and loved.

My Tio Jimmy was a wonderful man and a trail blazer. He bought a home, went to college and was a minority who rose through the ranks in the police force. He had a wonderful marriage with Pat and raised three successful  daughters. I
could always count on him every Saturday to be at his mother's home , my grandmother, with his whole family. He never bragged &  was an influence without saying a word. He will never be forgotten.

Today the smile on your face tells me  you give  your wife daughters and granddaughter the strength and comfort during this difficult time of sorrow.  You will always be proud of your family while on earth.  You were their hero and as their hero you will  keep watching from beyond the universe .  Thank you for being my cousin and  for the many ways you helped, for the wonderful kind hearted human being you were here on earth as it will be in heaven. It is God’s will and glory that you are called home and your soul continues to live a new life in the light of eternal peace. With a heavy heart so sorry to hear uncle Jimmy passed.   Jimmy is a Girl Dad before the term became popular.  Jimmy always looked out for family. He would reach out to check on his brother. Jimmy always provided a safe space for his daughters to gather with friends and family.  As a child during the milk strike Jimmy would make sure his sister and brother 's family had milk and juice.  Jimmy would buy for everyone at a milk plant.  Always looking out. RIP. Love, Cecilia

My Uncle Jimmy, was more of a Dad to me.  He and my Aunt Pat were my mentors always  guiding me when I needed help.  They both instilled in me that education and keeping  my  head held high was extremely important.  I would not be who I am today if it were not for them.  I love you Jimmy, may you find peace and happiness in Heaven with your love ones.

To the Guzman Family
I was so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jimmy.  Your dad and beloved husband.  Our family has so many wonderful memories of going to your house for the famous BBQ's and great family gatherings..  Long time friends - and considered family by my dad, Jimmy will be missed..  I'm sure that my Dad was there to greet your Dad when he arrived in Heaven - what a reunion that must have been.  It is so extremely hard when we lose a loved one.  
May God put his arms around you all and give you the strength to endure this pain in your hearts.

My Padrino was one of the best men in the world. He was always there for me and he never disappointed me he was just always there. Rest in peace Padrino thank you for always looking out for me. I will remember every lesson you taught me and the care you gave me. You were a man amongst men and I will miss and love you forever. My Padrino and Madrina on the day of my baptism. He took his responsibility to guide me very seriously. My Padrino never failed me disappointed me or let me down.
