My Tita Adeling was one in a million.  She was so full of life, so full of surprises, so hilarious, so fun, so generous and a visionary. She was kind but don't mess with her!  She will put you in your place! Lol.

We had so many fond memories of her and the families getting together. 

She always made my Mom and Dad so happy. She would say something and they would be on the floor laughing out loud. She loved to show us her new yoga moves and I just remember all of our burst out loud laughter!

She was a devoted mom, doing whatever she could to support her kids, my beloved cousins. I would run into her in Manhattan working my 3 jobs in my 20s.  She was doing the same in her 40s, 50s and had more energy than all of us put together!

I had the special privilege to spend time with her on a visit to NY.  She always had this fierceness and strength but I saw this very special, deeply spiritual side to her that fueled that strength. I saw how she had a deep prayer life that got her through everything.

She was tough, navigating NYC and raising 4 kids on her own but she had a generosity and kindness that was unmatched.

I see all the same wonderful qualities in my cousins and my nieces and nephews.  We are so grateful that her character, gifts and legacy are living on in all her kids and grandchildren. 

Continued prayers for all of you my beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. May God comfort you during these coming months and beyond. Love you all.



One of my fondest memory growing up is when mom would take the time to bake home made cookies with us,  she would let me and my siblings decorate them with Jam and she’d put it in the oven. No matter how busy my moms life was, she always found time to show us she loved us.

 Fast forward, years later, grown up with our own family and lives, my mom still found time to send us cards or books that she would inscribe to help uplift our spirits whenever we needed it or just because...

My mom was a giving person, loving in her own way, she would do anything for her family. She was a pillar of strength, courageous, selfless and always had the most positive attitude towards life.

We are so blessed to have such an amazing mom, God definitely broke the mold when he created you. May you Rest In Peace and suffer no more.

I love you mom, with all my heart and soul. I will keep your memory alive in my heart and through my love for my family and friends. 


Adie had a spirit, a spunk like no other.  Her energy inspired me to do more, to be more.  She had a constitution to be admired.  She will be missed but remembered by all those lives she touched.  She will be in my heart forever.

My sincere condolences to your family.   I waited every day for Jennifer to share an 'Addie' story (as I reference it) at work.   They always made me laugh and smile throughout the day .    I truly hope the memories of her keep you all smiling.  I didn't know her very personally, just through Jennifer and visits to the office.  However, I feel like I knew her personality quite well through my friendship with Jenny.   She's always portrayed her as a woman of pride, respect, strength, dignity, humor and unconditional love for her children.   When your daughter speaks of you daily with such love and pride, it speaks volumes.... Adelaida clearly had an impact on all paths she crossed.   This memorial is absolutely beautiful.    Rest in pace Adelaida.  

Joemy and Karen - Thank You for sharing such fond memories of our mom. I love reading the stories! I think my mom loved all of you as much as she loved us. Her work family was so important to her. She always said good things about everyone and, of course, she wanted to feed everyone. LOL! It was her nature to give and give and give. She was selfless and always put others before herself.

My fondest memory of Ade is one afternoon,  I covered her for her lunch break. When she returned , I got up from 'her' chair and she then sat down.  Now I am 4x Ade's size.. she looked up at me and said .." Wow, you have a hot butt" LOL!! I laughed for the rest of the day. Ade is truly one of a kind- a tough cookie with a heart of gold. It's time to rest Ade, your work here is done.  May God bless your soul 💝💝

Dearest Adelaide, 

I’m sad that you have parted this world but am happy that you are no longer in pain and are now at peace. 

One of my fondest memories were the ones where you would bring homemade Filipino food to work, like Sinigan, because you knew that I liked it.   You would make enough to share with your colleagues and were always feeding us and giving us candy or sweets of some kind.  Also, the day we shared our birthday celebration at work this past December, you and I.  You looked spectacular as always, with your fashionable outfits, make up and glam, and you always told the best stories.  Perhaps, the most telling memory of your giving and caring nature, is when one of our colleagues got sick and went on leave.  You yourself were already sick and fighting your own battle, but you reached into your purse and you gave me $50 and said, “Here, this is for our colleague. Please see that he gets it.”  So generous, so thoughtful, so kind. 

I will miss your fiesty spirit, charisma, witt and smile.  Thanks for the laughs, the stories, the food.  Now sleep, rest. Until we meet again.
