Russell Francis Harding Died February 10, 2016 at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, Washington. He was 88. He had been in hospice care for the past 2 months. Russell (Russ) was an active community supporter through the Elks, beloved husband of Patricia, who preceded him in death in 2006, and devoted member and participant in the spiritual community at Milton Methodist Church. Born in Montevideo, Minnesota on March 15, 1927, he and his 2 brothers--who died before him--were raised on a farm in Wilmar, Minnesota by their farmer father and teacher mother. He loved socializing with his wife and friends and family and loved fishing, camping, cooking and travel. Russell Harding is survived by his step-children: Steve Berg of Fife, WA, Janice Berg and Kathleen McGovern, both of Redmond, WA, and Michael Berg of Milton, WA and 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11 am, at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup, followed by a private family graveside service at Tahoma National Cemetery where he will be buried with his beloved wife, Pat.
