Charles Leo Warren was born in Wheatland, Wyoming in 1923. He and his family moved to the Yakima Valley in 1935. After serving in the 3 C’s he moved to the Tacoma area. After proudly serving in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII, he returned to Puyallup where, in 1946, he married his sweetheart Mae Hoover. He worked many years for Jones and Roberts Construction and was a 70 year member of the NW Laborers Union. He spent his retirement years fishing, camping with his grandchildren, and gardening where he donated surplus to family, neighbors and the local food bank. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Mae, son Roger (Kim) Warren of Orting, daughter Sheri (Jim) Bullock of Shelton, grandchildren Jack (Jeanie) Sugimoto, Adam (Jennifer) Sugimoto, Shaunna (Carl) Sarvela, Jill (Rich) McNeeley, Brian and Erica Kaiser, and 4 great grandchildren. A service of remembrance will be held at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup on Saturday, May 21st at 1:00 PM.
