Beulah Mae Kelly

March 29, 2016 God gained another angel. Our beautiful mother Beulah M. Kelly went home to be with our Lord and Savior surrounded by family at time of passing. She was the youngest child of William and Elizabeth Phillips. James L. Kelly Sr. captured her heart and both were joined together in holy matrimony June 30, 1957 and now together again.

To cherish her memories Mrs. Kelly is survived by her children: Mary Kelly, James Kelly Jr. (Denise), Dorlise Harris (Rodney), Sharril Williams, Antonette Kelly, Ivory Kelly (Lynn), Reginald Kelly, and Alina Kelly. Also enumerated in the Kelly family: Yolanda Lee (Tewayne), Marquis Murry, Tiffany Murry, Leon Murry, Helen Fane, and Torrin Todd.

She has a host of grandchildren: Gary B., David B., Robert Bottoms, Johnise T., Keyla, Tyrone, Tarecka, Robert R., Talina, Chantile, Michael Jones, Dayton, James, George, Robert I., Rodney II, Kej’dra, Trinity, Spirit, Kia, Iyania, and Marquis Jr. Her great grandkids include: Michelle T., Christopher A. III, Jermaine, Jasmine, Tre’Jon, Kamil, Rena, Cameron (Little Britches), McCoy, George (2), and Elias.

Special mention her best friend: Ms. Audrey Bell (Richard, Bill, Rodney, and Belinda).

Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, both brothers, and her elder sister, Mrs. Willie Mae Davis, of whom she was especially close to. She was also especially close to Louella (better known as Little Bit) - her first enumerated daughter.

As a mother, her impact reached far beyond her immediate family. She was heavily involved in being a mother to many others. She raised many children from babies into adulthood of whom she considered her own. Mrs. Kelly was a beautiful person both inside and out. Her heart was filled with love for all her children of which knew no boundaries.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at Edwards Temple C.O.G.I.C., of which she was a member, on Saturday April 9th at 10am, with Pastor Joseph Edwards - Officiating.
