William Edward Drake, 86 of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. William "Bill" was born on April 21, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey. He graduated from Springfield College with a master's degree in education and then went on to Central Connecticut State College where he earned a master's in science. Bill worked for the Connecticut school system for 32 years before retiring to Florida where he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his wife Barbara, 2 daughters Lori and Karen along with their spouses Kris and Greg, 4 stepchildren Marc, Stephen, Michael and Sarah along with their spouses. Bill will be greatly missed by his wife and family, 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
