Shirley Kathleen Teeters

Kathleen was born in Maysville, KY to Earl & Jessie Combs, January 25, 1936. The family later moved to Georgetown, OH where she grew up. It was here she met and married Eugene Teeters. They were blessed with 65 years together. Eventually they lived a few years in Aurora, IN then moved to Punta Gorda, Fl

Kathleen's parents preceded her in death, as well as five siblings: Mary Dickens, Edna Sparks, William Combs, Lillian Shaw, Ralph Combs.

She leaves to mourn her passing four children: Sandy Dixon, Milan, IN; Kimberly Young (Jeff) of Latonia, KY; Doug Teeters (Kelly) of Manchester, OH; Brian Teeters, Punta Gorda, FL. one sister, Phyllis Turner of Georgetown, OH.; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Kathleen always worked hard, even while raising her four children. She loved getting together with her Mom and sisters to can and freeze their home grown vegetables. She also worked outside the home at Brown County General Hosp. Georgetown, OH; a pharmacy in Aurora, IN as well as owning a hardware store.

Kathleen was faithful to attend all church services wherever she lived as long as her health permitted. She loved God with all her heart. She was a loving, generous wife and mother.

A visitation for Shirley will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
