Peggy Jean McIntyre, a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was born November 16th 1928 to Frank and Ruby Sisson. Peggy married William (Bill) Hensel on December 27th 1947. Together they had seven children; Karen Taylor (Bob), Rick Hensel, Karol Schwartz (Lyn) Steve Hensel (Faith) Linda Phillips (Kevin) Mike Hensel (Timi) and Diane Hensel. Peggy has 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband Bill, son Rick and daughter Karol. Peggy loved the water. While many of the mothers would be on the beach reading books, she was in the water with her children and the neighborhood kids teaching them how to swim. She also enjoyed golf, walking, photography and kayaking down the Peace River in Florida. Upon retirement at age 63, from Harrison Public Schools as a beloved bus driver, Peggy began her new life as a snowbird going back and forth to Florida. It was there that she met and married Melvin McIntyre. They spent many of their 26-year marriage traveling. Even with trips out of the country, her favorite was an extended road trip to Alaska behind a16 ft. Scamp trailer taking beautiful photos of the Alaskan landscape. Peggy lived a full and adventurous life. She was often "stepping out of the boat" to try new things. Peggy was looking forward to meeting and being with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when she left this world at the age of 93. She will be deeply missed.
