Frederick A. Slocum, age 82 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on September 22, 2021. He was born in Hart, MI on September 6, 1939 to Robert and Helen Slocum. Fred proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Life Member of the AMVETS and the Eagles. He was also a member of the Elks, VFW and the American Legion. Fred will be forever remembered as a loving, funny, and hardworking man. He loved cross country trucking riding his Harley and the GreenBay Packers. Fred was one to be known to swap stories and would help anyone who needed it. He was tough as nails, but had a huge heart. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda; his daughter, Angela Van Tol; his brother Bob Slocum; and his sister Mary McKinley. He is survived by his sons, Ricky (Kim) Lott, and Craig (Donna) Lott; daughters, Mary (Mike) Lott, D’Lynn (Curtis) Tindal and Lisa Martin; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and his brother, Russell Slocum.
