William Taylor Binkley

Bill was born July 15, 1933 to the late William York and Mary Louise Crabb Binkley. Bill was a graduate of Giles County High School and Middle Tennessee State University. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Shirley Faye Benderman Binkley. Bill was a Corpsman in the United States Navy at Camp Pendleton from 1953 until 1957. Bill was song leader at various Churches of Christ including his home church, Puncheon Church of Christ in Minor Hill. He spent his career with the Tennessee Department of Health serving as the Public Health Director for Maury and Lawrence Counties.

Survivors include daughter, Betty Lovelace (Mike) of Germantown, TN, sons, Taylor Binkley (Debra) of Christiana, TN and Forrest Binkley of Minor Hill, grandchildren Bo Swindle, Ben Binkley (Samantha) ,and Sarah Binkley, and great grandchildren, Annabelle and Carter Swindle, Ellanor and Aniston Binkley.

Graveside Services with Navy Honors will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, Tennessee, with Colin Leighton officiating.
