Sam W. Tidwell

Mr. Tidwell was born January 24, 1927 in the Chicken Creek community to the late Joe Johnson and Mable Clara Pillow Tidwell. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army, member of the American Legion Post 60, and a retired painter. He was the last survivor of twelve siblings and was preceded in death by one son Terry Colvett.

Visitation will be Sunday March 24, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. There will be private family graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 60 or to the Giles County Honor Guard at P.O. Box 321 Pulaski, Tn. 38478.

Survivors include daughters Gina Tidwell Harrison and husband Jon, Jennifer Tidwell, Tana Harris, Carla Reynolds all of Pulaski, grandchildren Cade Harrison, Dale Glidden, Tina Mangrum, Tony Colvett, ten step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
