Mr. McFarland was the son of the late Harold and Nell Rose McFarland. He was retired from the hotel business, served in Viet Nam in the United States Air Force and loved to play golf, watch football and baseball.
Visitation will be Monday September 13, 2010 from 5 til 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday September 14, 2010 graveside at Maplewood Cemetery.

Survivors include son Adam McFarland and fiancé Joanie Bly of Texas, daughter Heather Robert and husband Jeff of Texas, brother Lynn McFarland and wife Janet of Pulaski, sister Mona Letourneau and husband Earnie of Nashville, three grandchildren Hunter, Reid and Hadley Robert all of Texas.
