She was born on May 21, 1925 to the late Jennie Mae Harris and Thomas Richard Colbert. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church and she retired as a hairdresser and Beasley's Clothing Store. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Marvin "Jimmy" Helton, and her 2 sons, Wade Helton and Eddie Doggett.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla Helton of Pulaski, TN, her grandson, Dustin Birdsong and wife Amber of Pulaski, TN, and her 3 grandchildren, Knox Birdsong, Clay Birdsong, and Meadow Birdsong.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and the Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the 1st Baptist Church in Pulaski, TN.
