He was born in Hahira, Georgia on November 14, 1932, retired from the United States Navy, preceded in death by his parents, John Taylor and Lois Theresa Wetherington Stalvey, his wife, Vashti Phelps Stalvey, and his daughter, Susan Lynnette Stalvey. He was youngest of ten children and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and swapping Sea Stories.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Prospect Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Hardiman Stalvey of Ardmore, TN, his son, Joseph Stalvey of Virginia, his daughter, Pamela Hunt Miller of CA, his grandchildren, Kelly Owens, Jennifer Wallace, Rebecca Moore, Courtney Treat, Tiffany Gaia, Mary Beth, and Melissa & Danny Atkinson, several great grandchildren, and his niece, Janet Warren of GA.
