Mrs. Alice Bell Poarch Newton, age 88 of Pulaski passed away August 10, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Golie Jay and Lillie Bell Ball Poarch and the wife of the late William Morris Newton. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Josie Talley, Dorothy Poarch, and Elaine Poarch, and her brothers J., John, Charlie, Edward, Ned, and Howard Poarch. Survivors include her daughters Faye Newton of Pulaski, and Melanie Harwell and husband Stanley of Pulaski, her sister Sue Barnes of Cornersville, and her grandchildren Erin and Leah Harwell of Shelbyville.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday August 12, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 13, 2013 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery in Cornersville.
