William (Bill) Simpson, age 92, of Trinidad, Colorado passed into heaven with his wife (Virginia), on Saturday, April 23, 2022. A long time resident of Trinidad, he lived the last six years at the Trinidad Nursing Home.
He is survived by his three sons: J.Mark (Esther) Simpson of Switzerland, Gary (Cathy) Simpson of Trinidad and Richard Simpson of Missouri as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family spent their younger years in Indiana raising livestock (mostly horses and cattle). Bill worked at Lucent Technologies (a "Bell Phone Co.") before retiring in 1983. Arriving in Trinidad, CO in 1984 they raised horses and a few cattle for many years. Since arriving at the nursing home in 2016, Bill kept himself busy making toys, clocks and various other things out of wood. A great number of people now have the things that he handmade, so that will be his legacy for years to come. He will be truly missed by those that he came to know while at the nursing home and others throughout Trinidad.
