William Arthur Hand III went unexpectedly to his heavenly home on Monday, August 24th, 2020. He was born on April 26, 1964, in Trenton, New Jersey to Willam Arthur Hand, Jr. and Patricia Morgan Adams. He proudly served in the United States Army as a carpentry and masonry specialist from 1983 to 1987. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Tanya, while stationed at Fort Carson. They were married on September 14, 1985, and shared nearly 35 years in a cherished covenant of love. They were blessed to be the parents of 4 incredible children.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of Southern Colorado in 1993. He then owned and operated a stair constructing business. He later held various engineering positions for the City of Pueblo and most recently worked as a project manager for the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Bill was wholeheartedly devoted to God and he raised up a strong family full of the love of the Lord. He was a huge hockey fan- he touched many lives through playing and coaching hockey and he never missed an Avalanche game. He was also a professional amateur golfer that could find a tee time anywhere on any day. He loved worship music and classic rock, and he was always singing something! His analytical mind enjoyed creating and building things, whether that was around the house, at work, or even in the kitchen. His legacy of kindness and love lives on through his children and grandchildren, who were very close to his heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Tanya; his children Rhyan, Nathaniel, Christian and his wife Michelle, and Chanden and his wife Anna; his grandchildren Ahmiah, Gabriel, Selah, Benuel, and Samuel; his brother Todd and wife Kim; his stepmother Joan; his aunt Barbara and Uncle Ken; and numerous extended family members, including many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 10 am at Family Worship Center in Pueblo. If you knew him, we encourage you to join us in honoring him. You can also watch the service online at https://www.fwc.life/livestream/
