Virginia Louise Procell Carter, 84, entered the Lord’s presence on the 23rd of September, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbert C. Procell and Leasel Carter. Virginia is survived by her children, Lana L. Leonard of Canon City, Tom (Lynn) Procell of Pueblo, Karen (Richard) Perko of Pueblo; grandchildren, David Jeremy (Elizabeth) Golob of Castle Rock, Ryan (Adriane) Golob of Hayden, Idaho, Lucas (Nicole) Golob of Wetmore, Kindra (Stephen) Cox of Pueblo, Joni (Ryan) Mandarich of Pueblo, Ali Procell of Pueblo, Richie (Michelle) Perko of Pueblo, Brendan (Tiffany) Perko of Seattle, WA; and great-grandchildren, David, Alexandra, Isabella, Caiden, Ava, Samuel, Jack, Sophie and Emma; cousin, Sheila Johnson of Conway, AR; and numerous other relatives. Virginia was a fabulous cook. She was a very innovative baker, creating many recipes such as Bronco Mania Pie and Jimmy Carter Pie. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved her dogs. Virginia was a member of Pueblo Christian Center. In lieu of food and flowers, please make donations to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, Community Dinners.com or the “PAWS” Animal Shelter. Viewing will be 3-6 p.m., Tuesday, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home.
