Valerie Ann Hocking

Valerie Ann Hocking, 62, passed away Oct 10, 2019. She was born on Feb 6, 1957 with roots in Mitchell, SD. As a child, her family moved numerous times and eventually landed in Fowler, CO. In 1984, Valerie picked Jay out of a crowded cafeteria at USC in Pueblo. She said that it was fate and then they were married the next year. She was preceded in death by her parents Gerald Farris and Donna. Valerie is survived by her two children Ann and Nathan (Christa), two sisters, Michelle and Debbie and a brother, Curt (Sheryl) and numerous grandchildren. Valerie left behind all her very special friends at TTCI where she worked for over 30 years. Her passions were her love of horses and the Broncos. Valerie and Jay did not miss a Broncos home game in 34 years. She was affectionately known as the “Blender Babe” toting her gas powered blender with her husband “The Hatman” and granddaughter, Courtney “The Miniac” Hocking. Courtney was like a daughter to her. She loved her Bronco Family. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 am at St Pius X Church, 3130 Morris Ave. We respectfully request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Charlotte’s Way Foundation, a reading program for at risk kids.
