Summer Ann DeLap, born January 5, 1982, passed away August 29, 2021. Preceded in death by her father Kenneth DeLap. Survived by her mother Elizabeth DeLap (Terry Garver), brother Jacob DeLap, sister Stacy DeLap (Zach Saunders), nieces Kendall, Kenlee, and Arianna, nephew CJ, her partner of 10 years, Donald Decker, and her beloved cats Cleo and Ava.
Summer graduated from South High School in 2000. She went on to pursue a degree at the Institute of Culinary Education in 2008. Summer’s greatest passion was being in the kitchen, cooking for others. She loved spending lots of time with her niece Kendall, from game nights and movies, to swimming. They truly had an incredible bond. Being an aunt made her extremely happy. Summer also loved fishing and traveling to restaurants, she had seen on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Her dream was to have her own food truck. She was truly an incredible woman, with many talents. She will be missed by so many.
