Shanda Lynn Hamrick passed away October 24, 2013. Preceded by grandparents; William and Margaret Colby, Cecil and Betty Crader, Chuck and Lola Buckingham; father-in-law, Joe Hamrick and nephew, Zachary Colby. Survived by her loving husband, Joe Hamrick; daughter, Tyla Hamrick, son-in-law, Kai Littlefield; grandchildren, Jaxon and Anna Littlefield; parents, Philip and Sandy Colby; mother-in-law, Pat Hamrick; brother and sister-in law Mike and Brenda Colby; sister, Lori Colby, nephews and niece Frankie, Caitlyn and Ryan Colby as well as numerous family and friends. Shanda graduated in 1987 from South High School, began her first job as a hostess at Village Inn, then went to Bessemer Auto, continued to St. Mary Corwin as an anesthesia tech, then transferred to Park West Surgery, and finally to Aberdeen Surgery Center as a scheduler where she recently celebrated her tenth year. She lived for her weekends where she spent time with her family and friends playing poker, hunting and fishing with her husband, family camping trips to the cabin and of course the fun filled Bronco games with the family. Family and friends were her main joy in life, no matter where she was as long as she was with her family there was a beautiful smile on her face! Services will be held at Praise Assembly church Wednesday, October 30, at 1:00 pm. Under the direction of George McCarthy Funeral Home. On line condolences at www.georgemccarthyfuneralhome.com
