Salvador Caro, 69 years old, entered eternal life on Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was born July 16, 1952 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio B. Caro and Dolores Rodriguez, in- laws, Joe & Albertina Gonzales and brother Jose Martinez.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Kathryn Caro, his sons Salvador (Brandy) Caro, Andrew (Danielle) Caro and grandchildren Zion, Miranda, Marisa, Andrew and Kaelynne Caro. Siblings include: Juanita Amaro, Norma Martinez, Ella Jaramillo, Phyllis Avalos, Jerry Caro, Carol Martinez (Rick Gomez), Joe Gonzales (Christina Olguin) and Matthew (Jessica) Gonzales. He leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and his fur children, Yoda and Hope.
Sal served honorably in the US Navy Construction Battalion (Seabees) for 5 ½ years active, and served in the US Navy Reserve for 18 years. He was employed at the Pueblo Chemical Depot, served as a member of the TREA and was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
He enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren, going to school functions, camping, fishing, marksmanship and cooking. Sal was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. Sal loved to talk of the past and share stories of previous generations. He liked to write stories about his experiences growing up. Salvador Caro will be dearly missed and will always be in our memories.
Viewing to be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 4-6pm at Imperial Chapel. Rosary and Funeral Mass to be held at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, Friday January 21, 2022. Rosary at 1:30pm and Mass at 2pm. Interment immediately following Mass at Roselawn Cemetery.
