It is with great sadness that the family of Sally Ann Glenn Wood announce her death.
After a long and valiant battle against her declining health, she passed away peacefully
and entered Heaven’s gates on April 23, 2020. However, her legacy lives on in all those
who loved her.
Sally was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on September 10, 1956 to Albert and Dorthy
Wood. She was raised and attended school in Fort Collins, Colorado. Sally became a
mother and wife after high school. She eventually settled and made her home in
Turnersville, Texas where she married Shelby J. Glenn. Not long after the marriage his
children became her own. Sally remained in Turnersville after the death of her husband
Shelby in 2000.
While in Texas Sally met Danny Otis and not long after they decided to move to South
Fork, Colorado to be closer to her Colorado family. She was able to share irreplaceable
memories with her daughters Cobra and Dawn and her granddaughters. She was able
to spend meaningful time with her older brother Albert (Al). It was Al's hope to share a
trip to Hawaii to explore their heritage and visit the grave of their sister Sandra Ellen
Wood. Although this trip was never fulfilled, it was Sally's belief they will still have a
reunion in Paradise.
Not long after moving to South Fork, Sally quickly made the reputation of being a hard
worker as well as a loving friend. She became a close true friend and confidant to many
who became family to her. Sally and Danny took the position of Management at the
Rainbow Lodge in South Fork, where her friendships with Margaret McKee, Howard and
Carole Fleming flourished and soon became of great importance to Sally. She loved the
Lodge and cherished the opportunity to spend time with her daughters and
granddaughters here. Sally worked at the Rainbow Lodge until her passing.
Sally had a strong solid Christian faith, a scripture that Sally loved was, 1 Peter 4:8
"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins." This is the
example of the life she led with those close to her. She was little but had an incredibly
large heart.
Sally is survived by her partner in life Danny Otis, Her Brother Albert W Wood. Her
Daughters Cobra Lee Ann and husband Jared Howard and Dawn Haaheo Feit and
Fiance Brian Stephen. Her four granddaughters, Brittany Lee Yamada, Kayla Rose
Yamada, Amelia Gene Keys and Kalel Olivia Bobbi Howard. Her step children Charlotte
Glenn McClendon, Shelby J Glenn Jr, Teresa Glenn Ruffal, Kathy Glenn Cate, and
Evelyn Glenn Simmons and their children. As well as many nieces and nephews both
blood and those adopted over the years. Sally was preceded in death by her Parents
Albert William and Dorothy Haaheo Wood, Sister-Sandra Ellen Wood, Brother-Ronnie
Lee Wood, Stepson- Randy (Gus) L Glenn as well as her husband Shelby Joel Glenn.
At this time Cobra and Dawn believe Sally would want all her loving family and friends
to know, her work here is done. And if love could have kept her here she would have
lived an eternity.
Celebrations of life will take place at a later date.
