Ruby L. Coates

Ruby Lee Coates 91, passed away on March 15, 2023 at her home in Pueblo, CO. She was the widow of William Albert Coates who preceded her in death. She was born in Fallsville, AR on November 16, 1931 to Chester Reed and Ethie (Cowan) Reed. Ruby was a proud member of the Jehovah Witness Church and spent many hours and days delivering the good news from door to door in Centerville, TN where she lived for many years. Her ability to deliver a bible verse as though she was right there when it happened will always be remembered by her family and friends. Her feisty and thorough knowledge of the Bible was amazing.

Ruby was the mother of nine children; Juanita Kay, Fred Freeman, Margaret Delight, John Derringer Christopher, Michel Leroy, Robin Ward and Amelia Ann from her first husband Fred Freeman Tripp who passed away in Pueblo, CO in 1962 and Deborah Fay, Guy Edward from second husband; Clarence Dechant. Sadly she had to bare the loss of Juanita and Johnny.

Ruby had married 4 times in her life. Fred Freeman Tripp, Clarence Dechant, Andrew (Slick) Smith and William Albert Coates. She buried each of them with the exception of Clarence who has also recently passed.

Ruby will always be remembered as a loving Mom, Grandma and friend by all who knew her. A private memorial will be held by immediate family. Cremation has taken place.
