Rosenda Vigil

Rosenda (Rose) Vigil, passed away on 3-19-11. Born in Questa, NM to Leonardo Vigil and Casandra V. Cortez. Survived by beloved husband of 69 years, John P. Vigil. Mother of Lester Vigil, Virginia Lawrence , Bernie (Paul) Lamberson, grandchildren Sandra Vigil (Jim Nesbitt), John (Tricia) Vigil, Ryan Lawrence, Danielle and Angelique Lamberson, great-grandchildren Bryce and Taylor Vigil; siblings Perlina Gallegos, San Jose, CA, Willie (Vera) Vigil ,Denver. Rosenda “adopted” Dr. Victor Alarcon’s family as well as many beloved nieces and nephews as she became the last matriarch for all who had lost their own mothers or fathers. Predeceased by brothers; Jose, Thomas, Benerito, and Lee Vigil; sister Delia Bernal and daughter-in-law JoAnn Vigil. She was well recognized all over town in her 5 speed mustang always the Attention Getting “Glitter Girl” loving life and people loving her in return. Viewing Sunday 3-7 p.m., at Imperial Funeral Home. Rosary Monday 7 p.m. and Funeral Mass Tuesday, 11 a.m., both to be held at Holy Family Church. Interment Imperial Memorial Gardens.
