Rose Marie Bollinger, 86, of Pueblo received her wings to Heaven on March 3, 2017. Affectionately known by her family as “Sis” was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 5, 1931 to Marvin and Beulah (Newby) Hadley, moving to Pueblo when she was three months old. Waiting in Heaven are her parents; husband of 33 years, Elvin L. Bollinger; two brothers whom she never knew, Virgil and Kenneth; brother Bob (Bess) Hadley; sister Lois (Fred) Bedford; stepson Ronnie Bollinger; and son in-law Louis “Lou” Giltner. Survived by daughters Pam (Richard “Buck”) Burns, Karen “Sue” Giltner; grandchildren Danielle (Jeremy) Hague, Casey (Alan) Schmidt, Ty Burns and Fiancé Brittany Watts; great grandchildren Karsin Hague, Bailey Schmidt; sister Sally (Mike) Michaels; stepchildren Elvin “Skip (Sherry) Bollinger, Kathy Pattersen, John Bollinger; step grandchildren Becky (Tom) Bradshaw, Dawn (Dan) Anderson, Jason (Erin) Bollinger, David Pattersen; 10 step great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; longtime friends, Terri Kubick, Geri Martinez. Marie worked for Broome Brothers and Crown Discount store. She volunteered for St Mary Corwin Hospital for 27 years and also for Sangre de Cristo Hospice for 17 years, where she met her very “special” daughter Claudia Sniff. Marie loved life, her family and friends. She loved journaling and watching TV. Marie was a very special lady and touched many people who will miss her dearly. In honor of Marie who was almost blind, the family is asking those who attend the service to please wear bright colors, since for years all she has seen is black and white. A very special thank you goes to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, staff and home personnel. Also a very special thank you to Pam and Buck Burns for the special loving care they gave mom for the last 3 ½ months of her life.
