Robert Dale Weldon

Robert Weldon, 57, of Pueblo departed this life on November 18th, 2023. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Winifred Steele; his mother, Peggy Weldon; his aunt, Manda Ducic; and former father-in-law and godfather, Carl Gomez. Robert is survived by his former wife, Carla Gomez; his two beautiful children, Nadine (Albert) Solis and Michael (Jillian) Weldon; his three beautiful grandchildren, Jamie Lopez, Alexis Solis, and Albert (AJ) Solis; his beloved sister, Chris (Raymond) Gonzales; former mother-in-law and godmother, Shirley Gomez; and his best friend and service dog, Bodhi, the companion always by his side. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Robert was a 1984 Pueblo Central High School graduate. He served in the United States Army from 1986 to 1996 and was a proud Airborne Ranger. During his time in the United States Army, he received several trophies and awards for the best sniper competition, and a member of the Audie Murphy Club. As an ASE certified Master Auto Technician and business owner in the automotive field, there was no shortage of the many friends he made. Robert was an adventurer; he loved to scuba dive, surf, rock climb, camp, and hike. Robert will be forever loved and deeply missed by all those he leaves behind who will cherish his memory!

A service for Robert will be held on Monday, January 15th, 2024 at 1 PM at the Imperial Memorial Gardens in Pueblo, Colorado.
