Robert (Bob) Kent Tillotson, 73, of Pueblo West, CO passed away July 30th, 2019 in Crested Butte, CO. Robert was born on May 19th, 1946, in Aurora, Colorado to Kenneth and Evelyn Tillotson. He attended Nebraska Wesleyan University where he earned his B.S. in Chemistry and his Masters in Education. Robert served in the U.S. Military as a Naval Aviator for 6 years before completing his 20 years of service in the Army National Guard and Reserves where he served as an Air Calvary Commander out of Ft. Carson, CO and in the 101st Army Band at Buckley Air Base in Aurora, CO. He was an active educator his entire life including teaching Life Sciences in Hickman, NE and the Flight Director for the Challenger Learning Center at the Science Center of Iowa. He served 2 years in the Colorado Springs Mission as the Fleet Coordinator from 2006-2007. Robert was passionate about running, cycling, swimming, gardening, faith and most importantly family. He is survived by his wife Donna Barricks Levy Tillotson of Pueblo West, CO; 6 children, Galit (Matt) Freylack of Des Moines, IA, Betsy (Roger) Mooney of Reno, NV, Shad (Jeni) Tillotson of Eagle Mountain , UT, Josh (Kim) Tillotson of Sandy, UT, Sally Tillotson of Santa Monica, CA, John (Emalia) Tillotson of Sandy, UT; 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brother Richard (Lee) Tillotson of Nederland, CO; 2 nieces and his loyal Service Dog, Birdie. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Connie Sittler Tillotson. Services will be held Saturday, August 10 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 144 S Abarr Dr, Pueblo West, CO with reception to follow. Inurnment with Full Military Honors at Pikes Peak National Cemetery to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to The Perpetual Education Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or a charity of your choice.
