Nancy Joan (Metzger) Lutz, 86, November 4, 1929 – July 17, 2016, Visitation will be held from 6 – 7 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Imperial Funeral Home in Pueblo. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. Pius X Catholic Church. The interment will take place at the Imperial Cemetery. Nancy was born to Walter and Harriet Metzger in Chicago, Illinois. She was sister to Bert (Mary) and Mike (Helen) Metzger. Nancy was a devoted wife to Raymond Lutz and a loving mother to Kathy (Steve) Bergs of South Africa, Bob (Tamara) Lutz of Denver, Pat (Dave) De Long of Rocky Ford, Dan (Susy) Lutz of Fort Collins, and Mary (Bill) Gwinn of Durango. She was a beloved Grandmother to Nicole, Sarah, Daniel, Dixie, Brendan, Rexford, and Kilian. Nancy was a faithful parishioner and volunteer at St. Pius X Catholic Church, an incredible leader and role model in Marriage Encounter, and a joyful Mrs. Santa to hundreds of terminally sick children. She was a Prayer Giant; Nancy wrapped her marriage, family, parish, and the world at large in the loving mantle of prayer.
