Molly Alvarado Martinez Trujillo passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2017 at the age of 85. Molly was born on July 18, 1932, the daughter of Guadalupe and Julia Andrade Alvarado. She married Remigio (Ray) Martinez. Molly and Ray had four children, Raylene Caroline, Charles Jerome, Stephen Lawrence and Johnny Ray. She then married Richard Trujillo. Molly was raised with twelve siblings, James, Valentino, Max, Rudy, Joe, Eddie, Larrie, Mary, Margaret, Helen, Erma and Carol. Molly is survived by her three sons, Charles and his wife Diane, Steve and his wife Stella and Johnny. Grandchildren Christina, Carmel, Joey, Chucky, Nikki, Steven, Michele, Angelina, Vincent, Brenda, April, Jake and Ian. Great grandchildren Taylor, Nathaniel, Jaxon, EllaMarie, Michael, Destiny, Elias, Gabriel, Serina, Dominic, Diego, Anthony and Aubri. Great great grandson Luciano. Molly is also survived by brothers Rudy Alvarado, Joe Alvarado, Eddie Alvarado; sisters Mary Pacheco, Margaret Rodarte, Helen Tessier and Carol Jonas. Molly is preceded in death by daughter Raylene Martinez, Remigio Martinez, Richard Trujillo, brothers James Alvarado, Valentino Alvarado, Max Alvarado; sisters Larrie Donner and Erma Salaz. Molly loved her job at St. Mary Corwin Hospital. She also enjoyed working in the schools with the kids in District 60. She was also involved in social and charitable projects with the GI Forum. Molly was an active member of The St. Leanders Catholic Church. Molly loved to travel all over, especially with her brothers and sisters. When they got together they loved to reminisce about the old days. The best stories are told by the Alvarado’s! She loved the Denver Broncos to the end and sometimes loved the Colorado Rockies when they were winning. If you ever played cards with her, you know it was going to be Martinez rules so she could win! Actually, she loved to watch all kinds of sports because of her competitive spirit. We knew never to call her during the games, only during commercials or halftime. And don’t bother calling during her Novelas! We will forever miss her homemade breakfasts, her funny jokes (that she laughed at the most) and her delicious tortillas. There is such a closeness and love among the family today, so many hearts of gold. With Molly’s passing our hearts are broken. Funeral services will be held in Pueblo, Colorado. Viewing and Memorial will be held in the Chapel at Imperial Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 12:30 pm followed by a service at 2 pm. Online condolences go to www.imperialfunerals.com
