Lynda Lou (Lippis) Cooper, 55, was called home by our Lord on Feb. 6, 2014. Lynda is a mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Lynda joins other angels, her grandmother, Pearl Stevenson; her grandfather, Jess Stevenson; her father, Arthur Lippis; her special friend, Rick Coyle; her best friend, Michelle Dologan; step-sons, Bud and Micheal; and her grandson, Austin Bean. She is survived by her mother, Pat Lippis; daughter, Lynn (Chris) Bean; granddaughter, Aleesa Bean; sisters, Donna (Mike) Vigil, Kathy Kelsey and Sherry Lippis, with many nieces and nephews; five great-nephews and many friends. Lynda was called “Mom” by many of her daughter’s friends. She was born to Pat and Arthur Lippis on July 30, 1958, in Pueblo, CO. She graduated from Central High School in 1977. She met and married Charlie Cooper; and they had one daughter, Lynn Bean. Lynda worked as a waitress, nurse’s aide, construction, flagging and as a stay at home mom. She had a heart of gold…she could also be feisty, sassy, hard headed and a handful. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping or just going on a ride through the mountains. Lynda also enjoyed watching movies, especially action or Sci-Fi. One of her favorite things to do was cook or bake. Her best was spaghetti and meatballs, fried chicken and potatoes, and banana bread. Lynda liked to shop at garage sales, The Arc and other stores. She liked to collect things made of brass. She also liked Elvis Presley, wolves, eagles, Harley Davidson, humming birds and Betty Boop. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at First Church of the Nazarene, 84 Stanford Ave., with a reception to follow. She never liked to say goodbye. So, from Lynda - Love you Late.
