Lois Mae Hood

Lois M. Hood, 94, passed peacefully to eternal life on October 26th 2023 at home. Lois was born in Akron, OH, August 7, 1929 to parents Frank and Emma Brasaemle. She was the widow of Cecil C. Hood. They shared 53 years of marriage together. She was one of two children.

Her parents and husband (Cecil) preceded her in death.

She is survived by her six children, Gary, Sheryl, Randy (Pam), Alan (Katie), Glen (Tina), Kevin (Michelle); six grandchildren, Cara (Danny), Zack, Danny (Cheryl), Brittany, Ryan (Stacie) and Natalie; 6 great grandchildren, Lilly Ann, Asher, Cooper, Kadance, Phoenix, AJ; and her brother Louis (Joan).

Lois proudly worked as a teacher for Thatcher elementary and Minnequa elementary until her retirement in 1983. She was a homemaker, who loved cooking, arts and crafts especially needle point, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She has a very large interest in photography and even joined a camera club. She will be dearly missed by family, neighbors, and friends.

Visitation will be at 10:00am, service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday November 3rd 2023, followed by a reception. Everything will be held at Imperial Funeral Home.
