Lawrence James Fiolkoski passed away Friday, November 26th, 2021 in Pueblo Colorado. He was the husband of Padi Fiolkoski. They had just shared their 41st wedding anniversary on November 1st. Larry was born in Ault Colorado on January 5th, 1945 and was the third child of five kids to Frank and Jennie Fiolkoski. He worked on the family farm in Ault until he graduated from Ault High School in 1963. He lived and worked in Greeley Colorado until moving to Castle Rock in 1969 and worked for the Colorado State Patrol for 6 years, then the Douglas County Sherriff’s department for 2 years. He left the Sherriff’s Department in 1975 to work for the BNSF Railroad. He began as brakeman and retired a locomotive engineer after 33 years. Larry and Padi moved to Pueblo in 2004 after living in the Denver/Littleton area for over 23 years. During these last several years, Larry enjoyed driving the bus for Parkview Hospital Employees from their parking lot to the hospital. He loved meeting new people and visiting with them daily. Larry also enjoyed collecting and working on old cars, and cooking and smoking meat for family gatherings. Larry will be remembered for his sense of humor, orneriness, and his love of joking around with people.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary “Padi” Fiolkoski. His sister Joanne Cobb (Alton) of Greeley. His children, Mark Fiolkoski of Pueblo, Deborah Marino (Tony) of Pueblo and Stepson Shane Pharr (Monica) of San Antonio Texas. Larry was a very proud grandpa (Jaji) and loved his grandchildren very much: Johnathon Stanfield, Michael, Emma and Sophia Marino, Devon and Gabriel Pharr. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Larry left us much too soon and he will be forever loved and missed.
Larry had requested there be no services.
