Preceded in death by her grandparents, Alice and Robert Dorsey, and Margaret and Donald Miller; and by her parents, Robert and Josephine Dorsey. Survived by son, Ron (Jamie) Schwab, Jr.; grandson, Christian Schwab; a soon to arrive granddaughter; former husband, Ron Schwab; siblings, Greg Dorsey, Bobbi Zangaris, Jeff (Lisa) Dorsey, and Tracy (Randy) Roybal; nieces and nephews, Aedra (Dominic) Magdaleno, Carrie Dorsey, Tara (Alzado) Adame, Brian Dorsey, Jeff and Adam Zangaris, Lauren and Jourdan Dorsey, and Steffi and Zach Roybal. In addition, she leaves behind her beloved cats; the Bags; her very special and loving friend Ed Jacketta; her supportive and much appreciated neighbors, Marty and Lauren DeJoy, and a multitude of friends who will sorely miss her. Laura went through school in Pueblo, graduating from South High School in 1969. She married and had her son, who brought her joy and pride as he grew. She worked at Grove Drug Store, City Park Golf Course Restaurant, and Vita Bella, where she enjoyed her co-workers and customers. She had a big heart with a definite soft spot for animals. She was stubborn and tenacious and she did things her way. She was a diva and brought entertainment and laughter to those closest to her. She loved her life and doted on her kitty family. She loved her people family and decorated, fussed, and fed everyone on all holidays. She found pleasure and contentment in caring for her beautiful flowers in the summer. She cared deeply for her friends. And now, she flies. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 2p.m. Friday at Imperial Funeral Home Chapel. Anyone who wishes may contribute in her honor to an animal charity.
