He was loved by his wife Debra, their 6 children, 11 grandchildren, his parents, 3 siblings, 10 nieces and nephews, all the boys that called him coach, the men that coached alongside him, his work family, all his golfing buddies, and countless extended family and friends.
Kevin battled and lived with colon cancer for five years and made every day count. He never wanted the disease to define who he was, he wanted to be remembered by the example he set every day. Even after being dealt a bad hand, he did not change the way he met each day. He played with his grandchildren. He played golf. He lived the life he wanted until the last breath.
Starting from a young age Kevin was passionate about sports, cars, and family. He set the example of what it means to be dedicated, hardworking and faithful. Kevin was known by many names – dad, son, brother, mug, friend, papa and coach. Coach was not just the name he was called for sports. He was a coach for life in general. Laying out a game plan for success in whatever direction life took his loved ones.
Kevin lived a full life in a short fifty years. He had a superstar high school career excelling at everything in which he chose to participate. Played a little college football until injuries sidelined him forcing him to switch colleges. That’s when he met the love of his life. He married and became the best father and role model. Not perfect, but unconditionally loving. Ran a business. Traveled to some fantastic places. Golfed as often as the weather would allow.
Saying he will be missed is an understatement. The world is forever changed and smaller without him in it.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Kevin felt very passionately about these two organizations. Thank you.
