Julia Lydia Alcala

Julia L. Alcala, 85, of Pueblo Colorado went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2013. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Sylvester Alcala; parents, Jose P. and Della Martinez; son, Robert Alcala; sister, Carol McDonald and granddaughter, Dawn Martinez. Julia is survived by her children; Pauline Montoya, Steve E. (Patty) Alcala, Gary Alcala, Ivan (Laurie) Alcala, Darlene (Tracy Swearingen) Alcala; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Stella, Jerry and Virginia. Special thanks to University Park Care Center, Autumn Park where they cared and loved just as her family did. Julia loved spending time with her family. She was her children’s moral compass. She loved to garden, crochet and embroider. She was a Dallas Cowboy and Cardinals fan, but was her grandchildren’s biggest fan. Rosary, 6 pm, today, George McCarthy Historic Chapel.
