Joe, I just found out that we've lost you. You were bigger than life. Big heart. Big spirit. BIG funny. You always were there for me and many others. I'm grateful to have known you. Big love to you, Joe Jensen.

Joe Jensen, it was always a better day to see you somewhere, stop and talk, have a good laugh. I love you and I cannot express how much you will be missed. Life always seemed a little easier and more fun in your presence or with a phone call, the day a little brighter. I counted on those moments to always be there. I am deeply saddened and devastated. 
I know Joe and Lisa had what many of us hope for,

Our dear friend, Joe Jensen, has been cruelly taken from us too soon. He was a rare person with a deepness of thought, kindness of heart and tireless generosity of actions. His sunshine rose and set for his love of his wife, Lisa. His children, blood or otherwise were blessed to have a person they could count on no matter what was happening in their lives. His family extended well beyond the boundaries of blood, geography, ethnicity, politics. He would always help if asked and gave everyone a chance, regardless of their previous proven stupidity. He had enormous patience for fools most would not suffer. Joe was a light in a dark place. We are shattered by the reality of your death. Our hearts are broken to see your family torn apart. "RIP" seems so inadequate right now, we cannot imagine you would ever be at peace without your beloved Lisa by your side. Rest in Everything You Ever Dreamed Was Possible. We Love You

Joe Eric Jensen is a gift to this world,he touched many hearts and souls along the way, becoming family, i can't call him anymore with my crazy ideas, listening for the pearls of Witt and wisdom he'd share...so now I pray, and talk to the heavens , knowing he will hear. I met Joe and his wife Lisa when I first moved to Taos in 1997; we had become friends with Laura who lived on their property and all our kids played together. My daughter Emma spent many a night at their house when she was 5 and I was working. They were always willing to lend a helping hand. At that time I also worked briefly with Gretchen at the Bagel shop. Lisa would drive to my work a lot to pick up my Emma for me. They are the sweetest, and most giving family. I will miss Joe and I know Matt will miss there camaraderie. He met Joe when he was only 24 and Joe was 21. We are so thankful that we have a piece of Joe on our house. We love you Joe, & hope your journey was swift and you are at peace.

My Dearest Joe, I'm gonna miss you soo much. I'm gonna miss your laugh and hearing your voice on the other end of the phone. We always think our friends will always be around, and there will always be more time. I love you Joe I will hold you and the memories soo close to my heart.

God just seems to always take the good ones, and we never know why. You'll ALWAYS be in my heart Brother, you were the true sense of friendship and love.

Joe welcomed me into his family when I become friends with Gretchen in the 6th grade when I first moved to Taos. Always spending the night, all the way until we graduated. I moved away came back with my Robbie and it was like I never left. Always felt love in your home and your presence. You always gave me a hard time, but it was all for fun and love. I will miss you my dear friend. Love you always!
