Jose “Don” Trujillo, 79, Hallelujah oh how Angels sang when our Heavenly Father welcomed him into Heaven on February 27, 2015. He was born December 31, 1935 in Hoehne, Colorado to Mary and Tomas Trujillo who preceded him in death, along with siblings, Alice, Gilbert, Fred and Leroy. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years who was also his longtime and devoted caretaker, Cleo; children, Cheryl (Monty) Lucero, Julie (Mike) Simmons and Angela (Victor Tenorio) Velasquez; grandchildren, Danielle (Jim) Pratt, Gabrielle Lucero, Michael, Joey and Brianne Simmons, Freddy, Carly and Emily Velasquez; great-grandchildren, Violet, John and Penelope; siblings, Sadie Sanchez, Helen Pacheco, Tommy (Geri) Trujillo and Lucille Trujillo. He graduated from Hoehne High School and then served in the US Army. He worked at the CF&I until his retirement. He was a talented silversmith who designed jewelry for his family. Rosary Service 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015 and Funeral Mass 11 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015 both held at Holy Family Church. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
