Joe loved to farm and ranch and did so on the family farm during his childhood and in later years ranched with a good friend raising cattle and hay. He was always willing to lend a hand and never knew a stranger. Those that knew him, loved him.
On May 25, 1963 Joe married Patricia Queen and raised 3 children. He worked for Dana Corporation (Triplex) for 41 years. Upon his retirement-he spoiled his grandchildren and continued to farm and raise corn, tomatoes, eggplant, squash, cucumbers, pumpkins, and his ever famous chili. If you needed him between May and August-he was in the garden. If you needed vegetables-he had them and was always willing to share.
He is survived by wife, Pat Genova; Children Patty Jo (Anthony) Even , John Genova, Julie Genova (Krys Williams), Antoinette Keator (sister), Estella Genova (sister in law); Grandchildren Logan (Colten) Kuhn, Kyle (Mikayla) Even and Seth Even; Great grandchildren Preston Knowles with Baby Kuhn on the way. Preceded in death by his brother Dan Genova.
Services will be held July 12, 2023 at St Joseph’s Church in Blende at 10am. Reception to follow.
