Joe Henry Chavez, age 86, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Preceded in death by his wife, Carmel; parents, Jose Leino and Albinita; siblings, Max, Adam, Fernando, Junior, Benny, Lucilla, Doris, and Josie. Survived by children, Erlinda (Joey Montano) Chavez, Mary Jane (Leroy) Plancencio, Peggy (John) Hegg; brother, Salvador; sisters, Betty, Isabel, and Cordy; four grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Joe loved making new friends and telling jokes. His coworkers called him Papa Joe. He loved socializing with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and tinkering with cars.
Funeral Vigil and Rosary will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024. Both held at Holy Family Catholic Church. 2827 Lakeview Ave, Pueblo, CO 81005
