Joe L. Armijo, 76 passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 2, 2021. Joe was born May 18, 1944 in Lordsburg, New Mexico to the union of Isidoro and Perfelia Armijo. He attended Pueblo Catholic High and graduated from East High School. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Frankfurt Germany. Joe went on to meet the love of his life, Helen Marie to whom he was married to for 54 years. Joe was employed by the CF&I, where he worked in the Rail Mill for 48 years. He enjoyed traveling, riding his Harley, working in his yard, his garage, and was a Member of the Holy Family Parish. He was a jack of all trades.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Dennis (Cindy) Armijo; Daughter, Rose Marie (Angelo) Martinez; Grandchildren, Daniel and Alysia Martinez, Isabella Armijo and Dominique (Aliex) Esquibel; Brother, John (Brenda) Armijo and numerous other family and friends.
He will be remembered for his hard work, and his devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who loved him.
A visitation for Joe will be held at Holy Family Catholic Parish on Thursday, April 8, beginning at 9:00a.m, followed by a Rosary at 10:00a.m and a Mass at 11:00a.m.
