Joan Elizabeth Palmer

On August 11, 2023, at 11:07 pm, our dear Joan Palmer left this earth to be in Heaven. Aunt Joan was born on August 22, 1934 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents Brian and Elizabeth Palmer, her brother Wilson, and sister-in-law Marian. She leaves behind her nieces Melba (Don), Marla, and Brenda. She also leaves behind multiple great, great great, and great great great nieces and nephews. She used to sell Stanley products door-to-door with her mother, traveling throughout Colorado. She took great pride in caring for her family. She was involved in family activities and loved to be with them. She touched so many lives with her sweet smile and gentle hello. Now is the time for us to let her be free and get her long-standing wish to be with her parents. We thank the staff of University Park Care Center who cared for her for over 15 years. They cared for her as if she were family. We also offer a great amount of gratitude to Sangre de Cristo Hospice for their loving care over the 2 years. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Sangre de Cristo Hospice. There will be a celebration of life at graveside on August 16, 2023 at 10:00 am at Roselawn Cemetery in Blende.
